
"SEA GHOST" SOLDIERS INAUGURATION
The sounds of explosive greets tens of marines in the morning at Kondang Iwak Baruna Beach in Malang, East Java.
With fierce faces, they moves without command which built their impressions as a true fighter.
Their sense of pride and happiness lifted their fatigue after completing a series of military and vocational education of Marine Corps for eleven months in Candra Dimuka crater.
The selection which both strict and hard, and long training time, finally paid off. They are officially wearing purple berets, the pride of Marines who is ready to be sent everywhere.
According to Commander of Marine Corps General Major Suhartono, the inauguration is a sign of the birth of young soldiers of Marines who is ready to serve and become the starting point for soldiers to serve the nation.
186 new soldiers have participate in a series of basic military education, technical shooting training, forest command education and amphibious operation practice to create professional landing soldiers.
The nickname 'Sea Ghost' is always feared by the opponent, respected by the enemy, but at the same time become the pride of the people because it has a knight spirit, and appears as vanguard to protect and to defend the Republic of Indonesia.
The continuous sea waves gives enthusiasm and happiness to families who attend the scared tradition of Marine Corps. While at other end, a mother full of emotion hugs her son whom officially wearing uniform of landing officers.
For purple beret soldiers, inauguration ceremony is an implementation of fostering cultural aspects and important moments that are full of historical values.
